Simple Rice

Rice tutorial


  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups white or brown rice
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil
  • Spice blend packet (for flavoring)
  • Pinch of Salt


  1. For every one cup of rice, use two cups of water.
  2. Add olive oil, salt, and spice blend to water
  3. Once water is boiling, reduce to simmer, and add rice.
  4. Cover pot, and cook for twenty minutes. For brown rice, cook for thirty minutes.
  • Cook time: 20-30 minutes
  • Total time: 20-30 minutes

Yield: 1 Pot of Rice
