Heirloom Meals: Savoring Yesterday's Traditions Today

“Our most treasured family heirlooms are our sweet family memories.” — Unknown

The Heirloom Meals Recipe Project is an 8-week “done-with-you” immersion in your family’s recipes, stories and history, captured in a beautifully presented heirloom recipe book.

You've thought of preserving your family food memories into a tangible legacy for future generations … “someday.” But that nagging feeling that if you keep waiting, those precious stories and family heirloom recipes may never be captured.

The truth is, 'someday' may never come.

Without someone to gather a family's stories and recipes, chances are they will be lost within two generations - to say nothing of deteriorating photographs. This project offers you a way to preserve your family memories into a tangible legacy—a book printed on archival paper—for future generations.

Unlike most online options, our program and template has ample space for your narrative story, recipes, family photos and scans of stained recipe cards.  While recipes are wonderful, it’s the stories that give them their full flavor.

Each week, you'll meet with me on a call on our scheduled day. These calls are your opportunity to set aside time to work on your recipe book, ask questions, receive guidance, and collaborate with fellow participants. You'll also receive your weekly homework to keep you on track.

During the rest of the week, you'll stay connected with me and your fellow participants in a private Facebook group to share your stories, get feedback, and make lasting connections with your project team-mates.

By the end of the 8 weeks, you'll have everything you need for your recipe cookbook, complete with pictures that you'll send to me; I'll take care of the rest.

You'll be presented with a beautifully printed, Heirloom Meals Recipe Cookbook, as well as a PDF version to share easily with friends and family!

Keeping the group small means that you get the hands-on support and guidance you need to capture your family's food history. I'll help you ensure that you stay on track and turn 'someday' into today.

The workshop is designed to produce a book. It provides that accountability we all crave to keep a project like this on track, and to get finished!!

Your book will be a masterpiece, deserving pride of place on a coffee table or as the default cookbook in the kitchen for generations to come. This is a gift, truly worthy of the term "Heirloom."
