Potato Leek Soup




Carole cooks up a simple soup using a family technique called soffritto. Soffritto is a slow frying of onions, celery, garlic and carrots until golden. It is the basis for most of her soups, stews etc.  Using this base, Carole concocted a potato leek soup from the leeks and potatoes from her garden. 

Once again much laughter is shared while demonstrating it on the set of Newschannel 13 with Dan Bazile.
