Michael Ballon owns and operates Castle Street Cafe in Great Barrington, MA, where he provides a varied menu of comfort food and accessible cuisine.  Michael just self-published his second book, A Chef's Life-Farm To Table Cooking in The Berkshires. It's a wonderful book where he features farmers and purveyors.  It's part memoir. Part opinion. Part cookbook.

Castle Street Cafe is one of our go-to restaurants in the Berkshires, especially Friday night when Michael brings in jazz musicians.  We sit at the bar, sip a glass of wine, nibble on some food and tap out toes! A perfect friday night!
