Francine is one of America's foremost experts on Italian cuisine, is an engaging public speaker, author and TV personality. She is a noted food historian and James Beard-nominated author of six books including Dolci: Italy's Sweets and Pasta Modern.

Francine grew up with her grandmother cooking iconic Sunday dinners with thirteen cousins. It was delicious, fun, and boisterous: a kid’s dream. Never did she imagine that she would one day become a renowned food historian. Francine was a child psychologist who stumbled into food writing in a very serendipitous way.
