Domenica Marchetti is a writer and cooking teacher who specializes in contemporary Italian home cooking.  Her most recent book is The Glorious Vegetables of Italy. It is a gorgeous book with wonderful prose.

Domenica is another poster child for Heirloom Meals.  Her fondest memories are of the summers spent in Italy with her Italian relatives in Abruzzi.  Eating and cooking in a household of women.  Each of her Mom's sisters had their specialty and Domenica experienced their expertise and the wisdom of the feminine household. Until, of course, her Dad came to visit!!

I enjoyed Domenica and her story. It touched me on so many levels.  Lovely, just lovely!!
