Dan Smith is the chef and owner of John Andrew, A Farmhouse Restaurant in South Egremont, MA.
Dan grew up in Iowa on a farm. Memories of the food and life on the farm left an indelible mark on him and his approach to cooking. Fresh, local ingredients are what guides his menu creations and he credits his upbringing for his approach. He lovesthe change of seasons and what that means for his menus. He even grows many of the vegetables on the property.
I have eaten in his restaurant and enjoyed his culinary creations.
