Stuffed Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 Onions, Chopped
  • 4-5 Carrots, Chopped
  • 3 Garlic Cloves, Chopped
  • 2 lbs Grass fed Chopped Meat
  • 2 Cups Cooked Brown Rice
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste
  • 1 Tablespoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 8-10 Cabbage Leave, Tough core removed and blanched
  • 1 (32 oz) can Diced Tomatoes

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Saute onions and carrots until golden.
  3. Add chopped meat and garlic. Cook until aromatic.
  4. Add salt, pepper, nutmeg, paprika, 1/2 can of tomatoes and rice.
  5. Put an ample amount of meat mixture into one cabbage leaf.
  6. Fold in the sides and roll like a burrito and then place in a baking dish.
  7. Pour the remaining can of tomatoes on top and bake for 30 minutes.

  • Cook time: 45 minutes
  • Total time: 1 hour

Yield: 4- 6 servings
