Heirloom Meals: Savoring Yesterday's Traditions Today

Suzanne Wright on Heirloom Meals Radio

Suzanne Wright's story is one of those that gets me giddy.  Imagine visiting your grandmother in upstate New York. And imagine your grandmother, Bertha, running a restaurant out of her home to support her family.  It was called The Poor Widow's Restaurant.  An apt name for  widow raising her two kids on her own.  There was no menu and you paid what you could afford.  Such faith and beauty in that gesture.

So tune in to hear all about Bertha and how Suzanne brings that sensory experience of cooking and eating to her adult life. And, yes, I will share the cod and leek soup recipe along with a mouth watering photo.
