Heirloom Meals: Savoring Yesterday's Traditions Today

Sara Morrow on Heirloom Meals Radio

Sara Morrow grew up in Oklahoma in the 80's and 90's.  So it's no surprise from where her open and genuine personality comes.  She weaves the tale of how fast food like Taco Bell was part of her food culture along with dozens of cookie recipes from her Norwegian heritage.  Many of her family recipes were "layered" foods like scooper beef and jello salads.  It's a wonderful snap shot of a period in US history when fast food became a main stay of family meals.  And like most things we talk about on Heirloom Meals, our memories are really our heirlooms - our connection to our past . So I tip my hat to Sara for embracing those memories and how her Mom put her unique twist on dining at Taco Bell!

Thank you Sara!!
